Three panels from a wood sculpture, which to me seems unique as most such interior panels were bronze or stone or done as flat murals.
Parts of mahogany relief work entitled “Controlling of the Elements” designed by Peterpaul Ott, and executed in 1938.
The pieces were sponsored by the Federal Art Project which was part of the Works Progress Administration (WPA) designed to provide work for unemployed Americans during the great depression.
