How does this even happen?  A bank broke into someone’s private residence which never had a mortgage with that bank and stole all their possessions because they thought they were someone else.  This was not a “mistake”, it was a property violation and a crime.  If a person accidentally broke into your house and absconded with your all your worldly possessions because they thought you were someone else I don’t think the law would be so forgiving.
