One of Richard Nickel’s most well known photographs of a family moving out of the last remaining building on the block before demolition, c.1960’s, Chicago.
Nickel documented the architectural decay and deterioration of the city during the 50’s and 60’s, especially works by Louis Sullivan. He died doing what he loved. Read more here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Nickel
