Urs Fischer Madame Fisscher, 2012
I really enjoy the combination of taking the traditional reclining nude and setting her in an abstracted, contemporary, and “real” space. It’s busy and composed of so many pieces, but they work so well in tandem simply by being so disparate in how they grab your attention. It’s familiar and it’s not. It’s strange and common. It’s sterile and intimate.
