calumet412: The White Palace Grill, corner of Canal and Roosevelt, c.1970, Chicago. Opened in 1939, the restaurant still stands… I love the The White Palace Grill because there is a section of its menu titled “Soups and Juices”.  I’ve never seen this category anywhere else, and it makes me laugh.
