The Big Five Personality Test →
All pretty accurate. Neuroticism: You are generally calm, although some situations can make you feel anxious or tense. You feel enraged when things do not go your way. You are sensitive about being treated fairly and feel resentful and bitter if you think you are being cheated. You tend to lack energy and have difficult initiating activities. You are sensitive about what others think of you. Your...

Oh Rocky!
I always enjoy a late night Rocky Horror Picture Show.  That theater was a mess by the end, and I will be finding confetti on me for the next week most likely. Now it’s time for my old ass to go to sleep.

Cuteness temptation
A coworker has started sending me pictures of kittens to adopt after casually mentioning feeling bad when I leave my cat alone for three day trips.  If this pressure keeps up I will buckle eventually, because I cannot fight the cute.

haikudasai asked: You seem have a large grasp on 80s films and hysterical randomness... I'm trying to find out if anyone can help me find two things. The first was about these kids that somehow get taken to prehistoric times where people live with dinosaurs. They meet a skimpily dressed woman who helps them climb some mountain. The other is either a TV movie or TV episode where a kid (blonde I believe)...

It's the stupidity, stupid. →
But, as insidious as artificial aesthetics are, the most powerful factor in our economic illiteracy is found in the other new academic report — the one examining our innate denial reflex. As Northwestern University’s David Gal and Derek Rucker recently documented in a paper titled “When in Doubt, Shout!,” many Americans respond to convention-challenging facts not by...

“This is going to be terrible.”
– Divided We Fail - NYTimes.com Krugman. (via sexartandpolitics) It must be annoying to be a sort of modern day Cassandra.  He keeps spouting prophesies that have come true, but which are regarded by most of the public as lies and heresy no matter how many times he predicts something correctly.

I'll try again on Tuesday
I tried to vote today, but the line was over an hour long.  I think I’ll save time by going on election day.  :-/ I just want to stop Bill Brady.  I do not know if it’s possible at this point, but I feel compelled to vote just so I can know I did my part in resisting his governorship.  I will be back on Tuesday.
